Professional Activities

Lili has been involved in national and local efforts to improve teaching and learning in STEM disciplines, including approaches for engaging and retaining all students and increasing the persistence and success of women in science. She has published articles on strategies for engaging students in the classroom, the use of collaborative cases for teaching organic chemistry, and faculty approaches to undergraduate research. She received the Vulcan Materials Company Excellence in Teaching Award from Agnes Scott College in 2004.

Lili is an active contributor to Project Kaleidoscope (PKAL), AAC&U's center for STEM higher education reform. She has served on the PKAL National Steering Committee, has co-chaired the PKAL Atlanta Network and serves on the PKAL Atlanta Network Steering Committee. She is an alumna of the 2008 PKAL Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) and served as an Institute Mentor in July 2014.
