Hometown: Towson, MD

Advising Area: Arts and Humanities

Current Extracurricular Engagements:

  • Safe Agnes Scott Students (Representative)
  • Admissions Student Recruiters (Executive Board Member)

Summer Plans:

I will be completing a Projects for Peace project in the West Bank of Palestine with a grant my project partner and I received from a foundation. We are working with Tent of Nations, farm near Bethlehem, to put in and monitor beehives. The bees will hopefully support the farms cultivation and produce honey to sell.

Post-Graduation Plans:

Immediately after graduation, I would like to intern with The Highlander Center, a historic hub of grassroots organizing in the South. If I love my plans from this summer, I may apply to the Peace Corps. Ultimately I intend to attend a graduate program on community development or non-profit management.

Advising Tips:

Don't be afraid to ask for help! Professors are excited to talk to you during office hours, and all of the tutors on the ground floor of Campbell get bored and lonely when no one comes in! Even if it seems like a little thing, seeing someone for assistance can build report for if you have a more pressing situation later.

To me, academic success is…

completing the reasonable goals that you set for yourself.
