Summer Plans:

In the Summer of 2020, I will participate in an internship at UPS corporate specifically working in the department of international financial planning and analyses. This will be my first internship in the private sector, and I am excited to compare this experience to those I have had in the public sector. I expect this to provide more guidance for my post-Agnes plans.

Post-Graduation Plans:

After graduating from Agnes Scott, I will attend graduate school to receive a masters in international economic policy. This is a stepping stone toward my career aspirations, which include working at an international economic institution like the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, or the United States Trade Representatives. I will also apply to the Fulbright program in the hope of living and working in Mexico.

Advising Tips:

One tip for first year students is to bring things that remind you of home! The first few weeks can be tough, even if you think you are the most independent person. Second, find a way to stay organized! Whether you buy a calendar, a planner, or a ton of sticky notes. There will be a lot going on, and you will need a way to manage your time. Third, start making friends in advance! Agnes offers many outlets to make friends before arriving to campus, so hop on Facebook, chat someone on Please Don't Snore, or reach out to friends in your class GroupMe. It will make transitioning into college much less overwhelming.

To me, academic success is...

becoming a learner: jumping at your curiosities and growing your knowledge for a lifetime.
