Volunteering at Agnes Scott

The Office of Sustainability has several partnerships with local gardens, growers, and nonprofit organizations in the Decatur/Atlanta area. Our students take on projects at these different sites, such as harvesting crops, creating or managing a compost pile, and clearing invasive species in local neighborhoods.

• 180’ Farm—Sharpsburg, GA

• The International Rescue Committee—Atlanta, GA


Annual volunteer projects:

• The City of Decatur’s Park Renewal Day at Deerborn Park

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day volunteering at Sugar Creek Garden

• The International Rescue Committee’s “Give + Go” donation drive
