The mission of the
Pre-Med Association is to a) Promote the pursuit of professions in
medically-oriented fields, b) Provide a support system for Agnes Scott
students interested in health-related disciplines; c) Help students
prepare for the medical school testing, admissions requirements and
application procedures; d) Inform members of current medical advances
and possible career paths via speakers, panel discussions and
interactions with professionals in the medical community; and e)
Encourage on-site experience at local mecial facilities by providing
information regarding volunteer, research and clinical opportunities.

ASC-TV
ASC-TV is an organization devoted to
bringing a variety of programming to the campus via Agnes Scott's
closed circuit television station and providing an outlet for student

The Astronomy Club is for
students who enjoy astronomy and astronomy-related activities. The club

College Republicans
The Agnes Scott College
Chapter of the College Republicans was established to give a voice to
the many conservatives on the Agnes Scott College campus. The group
advocates and believes in many of the views expressed by the national
committee and is committed to the placement of politicians who share
similar views to be eleced into leadership positions in many levels of
government, including local, state and national.

Common Ground
Common Ground is meant to be an
educational forum, making students aware of international, as well as
domestic issues that are not usually addressed, as well as providing
students with a forum to voice their thoughts and opinions on the
discussed matter. It also serves as a resource center for students
interested in finding outside organizations that deal with discussed
issues and promote activism.

Conservative Forum
The Conservative Forum is a
club for the politically conservative women on campus that exists to
make known and peacefully promote conservative ideals, principles and
activities. Goals include exposing the student body to the politically
conservative viewpoint and in the process increase political awareness
on campus. Conservative Forum provides an opportunity for conservative
members of the Agnes Scott community to develop leadership skills and
to assist in the campaigns of conservative candidates at the national,
state and local level.

Exhibition Art strives to make
art accessible to all Agnes Scott students by going on gallery and

Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance
FMLA was
established to enhance the feminist community on campus. FMLA takes
action on campus, local and national feminist issues and concerns,
provides leadership and career building opportunities for feminist
students, and strives to establish a broad constituency to work in the
pursuit of social, political, and economic equality for humanity.

Green Earth Organization
Green Earth is an
environmental organization devoted to campus and community awareness,
environmental education and outdoor activities. GEO works alongside
such local groups as Oakhurst Community Gardens, Trees Atlanta, Sierra
Club and the Environmental Fund for Georgia.

Handiwork Club
The Handiwork Club exists to
teach others the concepts of crochet and knitting. Members of this
club are expected to make or donate at least one item to benefit a
homeless shelter for battered women.

LBTQA Collective (Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Allied Collective)
The
purpose of the LBTQA Collective is to provide a comfortable, safe
and supportive meeting environment for lesbian, bisexual, transgender,
queer and allied (LBTQA) community members of Agnes Scott College. The
Collective strives to educate the campus about lesbian, bisexual,
transgender, queer and gay issues and to raise consciousness and
promote acceptance and celebration of all members of the campus
community.

Poetry Etc.
The mission of Poetry Etc. is to
gather students to share creative writings of any kind and to help
members become better writers. During club meetings attendees are
encouraged to have a lot of fun while talking about any sort of
literature that inspires them.

Psychology Club
The Agnes Scott Psychology Club
was reinstated in the spring of 1999 to promote an interest in
Psychology. Students do not have major or minor in psychology to join.
The organization has fun psychology activities including movie nights
and field trips. There are also informative activities that
include talking to different psychologists about their work.

This Pre-law club is dedicated to
assisting Agnes Scott students who are considering a career in the
field of law or are considering attending law school in the future. The
club sponsors speakers on various careers in the legal field,
perspectives on law school and LSAT prep tests.

Student Advocates For Educating Women (SAFE Women)
SAFE
Women strives to educate women about health issues. Club members plan
and organize a variety of health education programs throughout the
year. Some of these programs include Semester Stress Busters, Breast
Cancer Education, Alcohol Awareness, The Sextravaganza and the Great
American Smokeout. All students are encouraged to join.

Woodruff Scholar Organization
The Woodruff
Scholar Organization assimilates and integrates students who are older
than traditional college age (Woodruff Scholars) into the campus
community through involvement, thereby enriching both the individual
Woodruff Scholars and the college as a whole.
