The Civil Wars continue their milestone year with performances at Agnes Scott College on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10. This installment marks the fourth concert for the Eddie and Agnes Concert Series, a partnership between Eddie’s Attic and Agnes Scott.
The general admission events will be at 7:30 p.m. at Agnes Scott’s Presser Hall. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at www.ticketalternative.com

The Civil Wars’ (John Paul White and Joy Williams) debut album, “Barton Hollow,” debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on iTunes’ overall Albums chart earlier this year and has sold more than 90,000 units to date. Additionally, the band is currently a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist to watch, while their music video “Barton Hollow” is currently No. 6 on VH1’s “Top 20 Countdown.” Earlier this month, the band was invited on a series of special tour dates with Adele.
Earlier this year, the duo made their SXSW debut and on March 26, the band members were featured guests on American Public Media’s “A Prairie Home Companion” radio show broadcast live from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
In January, the duo made their network television debut, performing “Barton Hollow” on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Their second show ever, performed at a sold out Eddie’s Attic, was recorded and released as a free digital album.
