ITS ALERT - Email Phishing Scam & Notification about student email access
Last updated: Jul 10, 2013 8:44:02 AM
Greetings Campus Community:
One of our students notified us today that her email account has been hacked. She has sent out several thousand email messages to the campus community and off campus email addresses.
With this in mind, the student email server is going to be unavailable for about 3 hours while the email queues are cleaned out. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This will affect all of our students who are attempting to get into email.
Also we have received reports about an email phishing scam that is circulating the campus. The email subject line may read System Administrator(Mailbox Exceeded Quota Limit), it is telling the recipient to visit a link to restore their email access. Please do not click the links, and delete this email.
Thank you for alerting the Help Desk.
