Sorayya Khan, author of Noor and Five Queen’s Road, will give a fiction reading as part of Agnes Scott’s Writers and Scholars Series on Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Amelia Davis Luchsinger Lounge (Fireplace Lounge), Alston Campus Center. A book signing will follow the reading.
The recipient of a U.S. Fulbright Research Grant, The Malahat Review’s Novella Prize and a Constance Saltonstall Artist Grant, Khan has been published in various literary quarterlies and several anthologies including The Kenyon Review and North American Review.
The daughter of a Pakistani father and a Dutch mother, she has conducted research in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia. She currently lives in Ithaca, N.Y. with her husband and two children.
