GSAC Tournament, Soccer and Volleyball

The Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) soccer and volleyball tournament will be hosted by Agnes Scott College on Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 4. The top five teams in the conference based on regular season standings will qualify for conference tournament play. Highlights of the weekend will include a canned food drive hosted by the Agnes Scott Lacrosse team on Friday evening and a visit from the Georgia Special Olympics team on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The weekend officially kicks off at 2 p.m.  on the soccer field as the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds face off which will be followed by the first round of the volleyball tournament in the gym at 4:30 p.m. The Agnes Scott lacrosse team will be collecting non-perishable food items in the gym on Friday night to donate to a local charity.  Friday evening will conclude with a banquet for athletes and coaches for the teams competing in the tournament.  At the banquet, teams will recognize senior players and All-Conference award winners including Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors.

Saturday will begin with the soccer semi-finals at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the field. In the gym, volleyball will play semi-finals at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday will also feature special guests from the Georgia Chapter of the Special Olympics. Saturday will conclude with the volleyball championship game at 6:30 p.m. between the winners of the semi-final games.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday with the soccer championship game at 1 p.m.

Spectator parking will be available in the parking deck on S. McDonough Street and golf cart shuttles will be provided to the gym. Admission tickets will be sold each day at the door and will be valid for the full day. A day pass for Friday is $5 at the door, a day pass for Saturday is $10 and a day pass for Sunday will be $5. Ten percent of the ticket sales will be donated to the Georgia Chapter of the Special Olympics.
