Gina Gershon, Actress and Author
Gina Gershon, an actress best known for her movie roles in “Bound,” “Showgirls” and “Face Off,” will discuss and sign her new book “In Search of Cleo: How I Found My Pussy And Lost My Mind” on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Agnes Scott’s Presser Hall, Gaines Chapel.
The event is free and open to the public. Gershon will sign only copies of her new book.
Gershon is also known for her TV appearances on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Rescue Me” and “How to Make It in America.” What her fans might not know about her is that she is a self-described cat-lady; a life-long lover of the feline persuasion.
So when her beloved cat, Cleohold or Cleo for short, is missing after an assistant took him to a dog groomer – yes, a dog groomer – Gina is understandably distraught. Searching for Cleo becomes a full-time job, and chronicled “In Search of Cleo: How I Found My Pussy And Lost My Mind.”
Besides her many Broadway, movie and television roles, Gershon is a founding member of the New York City theater group Naked Angels and co author of the children’s book “Camp Creepy Time.” She has also recorded two albums: “In Search of Cleo” and “The Good, The Bad and The Hungry” by Beardo and Baddo. She has performed her Jew’s harp with many prominent musicians. She lives in New York City with her cat, Cleo.
