GENERAL SUMMARY: Assists in the recruitment activities of the
admission office within the guidelines of applicable laws and college and
departmental policies and procedures.
Reports to the director of admission or other designated person and
works with co-workers, prospective students and their families, high school
guidance counselors, and alumnae in seeking potential candidates for admission
to Agnes Scott College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
management of an assigned recruitment territory utilizing the SRM tool.
prospects and applicants from within an assigned segment and geographic
territory, which will involve approximately 8 to 10 weeks of travel during the
fall and spring. Travel is both domestic

staff and guidance counselors, in a variety of settings including evening
information programs, high school visits, college fairs, and counselor
on-campus interviews and information sessions to both large and small groups;

Minimum 1 year work experience in admission or a related field with other
employers, plus 6 months training time at ASC, for a total of 1+ years
- Considerable knowledge of word
processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel) and electronic mail.
- Familiarity with Agnes Scott College policies and
- Proficiency in public speaking.
- Excellent communication skills,
both verbal and written.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Good judgment and the ability to
work collegially in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work
independently and to maintain confidentiality.
- Travel required from office to
other locations on a regular basis.
- Possess or has ability to obtain
a valid state driver’s license.
- Irregular, evening and weekend
hours are required.
