Bridge to Business Program
Agnes Scott College, in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Scheller College of Business, offers students the opportunity to develop their interests in business. The Bridge to Business program, which takes place during the first three weeks of August, introduces key business concepts to Agnes Scott’s rising juniors and seniors. Topics such as human resource management, international business and managerial accounting are taught on the campus of Georgia Tech by faculty members from Agnes Scott and Tech as well as by guest lecturers.

As a liberal arts student, you may be wondering “what’s out there for me?” in the modern business world. The Bridge to Business program allows you to explore your strengths and talents in various business functions. Company site visits will complement your classroom studies by getting you inside the halls of various corporations. Courses on operations management and strategy, for example, will give you a taste of what you can expect to see in your business future.

- Introduce you to the knowledge and technical skills necessary to understand the modern business world
- Inspire you to incorporate an international business focus into your study-abroad experience
- Pique your interest in various internships or study-abroad opportunities
- Whet your appetite for an M.B.A. program after your graduation from Agnes Scott

Student Experiences
"Bridge to Business has significantly changed my mindset about the future. As a Biochemistry and Economics double-major, I did not originally consider an MBA. This program taught me that to be a leader in any field, it is vital to understand and communicate in the language of business. I plan to include an MBA in my future education in order to network and better translate technical knowledge/research into language that companies, foundations, etc., can understand."
"There are many women that will go into the business world with confidence, innovative thinking abilities and wonderful resumés because of this program. I enjoyed meeting new people and having great experiences with those who were in the program."
"The program enriched my understanding of the business world and what to expect in an MBA program. I thought this was a fantastic program and have already encouraged sophomores and juniors to look into it. I already knew I was interested in business but I also saw how people changed from this experience."
"I'm telling all of my Agnes Scott friends about it and definitely recommending the program! It's a really good opportunity!"
