Glen Hill enters his fifth season as  head tennis coach at Agnes Scott College. Since his arrival in August of 2005, Hill has garnered two Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Awards. Last season, Hill led the Scotties to the GSAC Conference Championship and a victory in the first round of the NCAA Championships.

From 2003 to 2005, Coach Hill served as an assistant coach for the Emory University women’s tennis team, helping lead the Eagles to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships.

Born in Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory in Australia, Hill received a tennis scholarship from Southern Polytechnic State University where he played #1 singles and doubles and was the team captain. In 1999, he was one of only 20 student-athletes nationally across all sports to receive the NAIA’s A.O. Duer award for academic and athletic excellence. He graduated magna cum laude with a 4.0 GPA as a Physics major. Hill continued his studies at Georgia Tech, where he received his Masters of Science in 2002.

As a junior, Hill played in international tournaments, including the Australian National Junior Championships. He has been ranked #1 in Men’s Open Singles for Georgia, and played on the professional circuit while coaching at Emory. Hill lives in Decatur with his wife, Shannon, daughter Casey and dogs Zorro and Dash.
