When the Agnes Scott volleyball team battles Spelman on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Woodruff Gymnasium, they will have the support of a sea of purple in the stands.
The match on Tuesday is the annual "Purple Out" game for the Scottie volleyball team. "Purple Outs" are an initiative of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to encourage and support varsity athletes on campus.
The first 25 fans in attendance will receive free purple T-shirts. Varsity athletes will also be in attendance, sporting their purple pride.
Fans should not be disappointed, as the last match between Agnes Scott and Spelman in September was a dramatic, five-game contest, that saw the home-team Jaguars score the narrow 3-2 victory.
On Friday, the Scotties traveled to Maryville College, where they lost their match, 3-0.
