The next step in the Scotties' conference championship run will take place this Saturday, as they host LaGrange at 2 p.m. on Gellerstedt Field in the first round of the GSAC Championships.
The Scotties defeated LaGrange in their two previous contests this season by a combined score of 9-0.
A first-round bye in the championships narrowly escaped the Scotties this week. On Wednesday, Agnes Scott fell to Piedmont, 2-1 in double-overtime. The Lions scored the winning goal with just four minutes to play.
A win or tie would have placed the Scotties in second place in the conference and allowed them to automatically advance to the semifinals.
