Agnes Scott intramurals are open to students, faculty and staff of all abilities. Participants are required to sign a waiver and release of liability form. Registration forms are available at the Woodruff Physical Activities Building.

Intramurals 2009-2010

Yoga: Experience the meditative benefits of yoga through linking breath with movement. This class promotes balance, flexibility and stress reduction. The class is taught by Elizabeth Yates
Tuesdays at 5:15p.m-6:30p.m., Sept.. 15-Oct. 22, Lower Floor of the Julia K. Thompson Smith Chapel. For students, faculty, staff, alumnae and friends ($35 students, $75 fac/staff/alum, $90 non-ASC participants)

Beginning Tennis: Would you like to learn a lifelong activity?  Do you know how to play tennis?  We are offering tennis lessons for the true beginner.
Tuesdays at 5:15p.m.-6:30p.m., Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27, Byers Tennis Courts. For students, faculty, staff and alumnae ($5 students, $20 fac/staff/alum)

Aikido: Aikido teaches how to defend yourself by harmonizing with your attacker’s movements, taking control of their center, and either throwing them or pinning them to the ground, all while protecting them from harm. It is both a practical self defense system as well as training in how to handle pressure more effectively in all walks of life. This class is taught by Joel Riggs: 
Wednesdays at 5:30p.m.-6:30p.m., Oct. 21-Dec. 2 (skipping Nov. 25), Dance Studio. For students, faculty, staff, alumnae and friends ($50 students, $90 fac/staff/alum, $105 non-ASC participants)

Tai Ji: Relax and let go of the day’s stresses with the meditative Yin Qi Gong, a practice developed to quiet the mind and energize the spirit. A simple, fluid Tai Ji formed based on the Five Elements theory of Chinese healing – fire, water, wind, metal, and earth. This class is taught by Meg Randolph.
