The Irene K. Woodruff Program
If you’re at least 24 years old or are married or have a dependent, consider Agnes Scott's Woodruff program for women seeking a liberal arts, undergraduate degree.

Woodruff scholars vary greatly in age, marital circumstances, socioeconomic status and degree of participation in campus life. Whether setting foot on a college campus for the first time or picking up where they left off decades earlier, our students share in common a single trait: the desire to turn the dream of a college education into reality.

As one of the oldest programs of its kind in the nation, our return-to-college program earns rave reviews from its alumnae. In a recent survey by the Wellesley College Center for Research on Women, 98 percent of our non-traditional alumnae would recommend the program to other women.

A Liberal Arts Education
Recognized as “one of the best small liberal arts colleges to be found anywhere” by The Best 345 Colleges and “the South’s leading women’s institution” by The Fiske Guide, Agnes Scott College integrates a broad range of liberal arts disciplines with international and experiential learning opportunities. You have a choice of 33 majors and 26 minors, or you can design your own major. You’ll benefit from our outstanding faculty, the newly constructed Bullock Science building, the McCain library as well as extensive academic support customized for return-to-college students.

An Affordable Price
With one of the highest per capita endowments of any college or university in the United States, Agnes Scott is able to offer generous financial aid packages to students with varying backgrounds and levels of achievement.

Financial aid awards for Woodruff scholars usually consist of grants and loans. Most financial aid programs require you to enroll for a minimum of six credit hours per semester. If you have an affiliation with Georgia Perimeter College or Phi Theta Kappa, you may qualify for merit-based scholarships, valued at $10,000 annually. To apply for Agnes Scott financial awards as well as federal aid, file the FAFSA at least two months before the start of the semester in which you plan to enroll.
