Financial Aid Basics

Agnes Scott combines its resources with state and federal aid to create financial aid packages customized to each student’s needs. The college offers two types of financial awards: merit-based scholarships and need-based aid.

About merit-based scholarships
Students with high levels of achievement, talent or various backgrounds are eligible for renewable, merit-based scholarships. Dollar awards range from $1,000 to full tuition, fees, room and board. The college automatically considers all early-decision and scholarship-decision students for merit-based aid.  Learn more.

About need-based aid
Agnes Scott considers all students for need-based aid. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines your eligibility based on your and your family’s ability to pay.  Learn more.

How to apply for aid
After submitting the admission application, you must complete the FAFSA application. The FAFSA determines your eligibility level for federal aid as well as need-based aid from Agnes Scott. Agnes Scott will receive your information directly from FAFSA. Submit the FAFSA application online
