What’s one thing you’d rather not do without? My favorite chair in our living room. It is perfect!
A word or phrase to describe myself: “A little perspective, like a little humor, goes a long way.”
Favorite book: That is so hard to narrow down. Currently sitting on my nightstand are A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and a copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
Favorite movie: “The Royal Tenenbaums”
At Agnes Scott since:
January of 2008
Why I work at Agnes Scott: That’s easy! The students here are change agents and their influence has changed the way I perceive my everyday world. They are intelligent, passionate, witty and inspiring. I feel so lucky to be here.
Favorite spot on campus: The golden ginkgo tree behind Campbell Hall. It is incredible in the fall.
Favorite spot in Decatur: Victory Sandwich Bar. It has a great patio and a relaxed feel.
Favorite spot in Atlanta: West Egg. It is a GREAT weekend brunch spot. Don’t miss the Peachtree Plate with tons of southern favorites.
3 reasons to attend Agnes Scott:
- You have such a dichotomy of a small, personal campus in Decatur with a large metropolitan city as a backdrop.
- Our campus is so diverse it is like a snapshot of our global community. You can meet people from around the world just by opening your door.
- Women are so supportive! I love how many times a day people smile, say hello and ask how I am doing.
Advice/tips for prospective students: Bring a small notebook with you to all your college visits. You never know the little notes or questions that will help with your search!
