Territory: Georgia counties of Cobb, Cherokee, Dekalb, Douglas and Gwinnett; Alabama; transfers, joint enrollment and Woodruff Scholars

High School: UMS-Wright Preparatory School in Mobile, Ala.
College: Agnes Scott
Major: Biology and Dance
Graduate School: Central Michigan University, master's in science administration
Life before Agnes Scott: I spent 15 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia as a healthcare reporting analyst, project lead and diversity project manager.
What’s one thing you’d rather not do without? Dance; it’s an emotional connection with saying a word.
A word or phrase to describe myself: One proud Scottie
Favorite book: The Secret of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig. I love historical fiction, especially the Napoleonic era. This is the first in a series; I am hooked.
Favorite movie: “Sixteen Candles” – it’s a classic.

At Agnes since: 2008
Why I work at Agnes Scott: As an alumna, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to recruit for the college in an official capacity. Prior to working at Agnes Scott, if I saw young woman wearing high school paraphernalia, I would ask if she was in high school, what schools she was considering and then suggest that she visit and apply to Agnes Scott.
Favorite spot on campus: The Inman Porch Swings
Favorite spot in Decatur: Harbour Bar and Fish House. Being from the Gulf Coast, I love seafood. Their fried oysters are amazing.
Favorite spot in Atlanta: The Commerce Club

3 reasons to attend Agnes Scott:

  1. It truly is The World. For Women.
  2. You’ll have close friends for life.
  3. To become a member of the “Black Ring Mafia.”

Advice/tips for prospective students: Don’t be afraid to explore different opportunities. Agnes Scott is a women’s college, not an all girl’s school and there is a difference. So don’t rule out this wonderful opportunity based on what you think you may know. Visit; once you do, you may be pleasantly surprised.
