Get a Jump Start on Your Agnes Scott Experience
The GEMS Summer Bridge Program is a free, seven-week residential program for incoming first-year students interested in the natural/physical sciences and mathematics.
You can earn six credit hours that will both satisfy your First-Year Seminar requirement and apply to your Agnes Scott degree. Sharpen your problem-solving, critical thinking and writing skills through course work and supplemental program activities, such as:
- Effective test preparation
- How to engage in collaborative learning or study groups
- How to approach professors
- How to ask questions in class
- Effective time management
Who is Eligible?
You must be an incoming first-year student who will start classes in fall semester and you must have expressed an interest in majoring in the natural sciences and/or mathematics.

Check in/move in: June 20
Closing picnic lunch/move out: July 30
Program Costs
There are no costs; however, you must provide your own transportation to and from campus on the move in and move out days.
