Bridge to Business
Agnes Scott College, in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Scheller College of Business, offers students the opportunity to develop their interests in business. The Bridge to Business program, which takes place during the first three weeks of August, introduces key business concepts to Agnes Scott’s rising juniors and seniors. Topics such as human resource management, international business and managerial accounting are taught on the campus of Georgia Tech by faculty members from Agnes Scott and Tech as well as by guest lecturers.

As a liberal arts student, you may be wondering “what’s out there for me?” in the modern business world. The Bridge to Business program allows you to explore your strengths and talents in various business functions. Company site visits will complement your classroom studies by getting you inside the halls of various corporations. Courses on operations management and strategy, for example, will give you a taste of what you can expect to see in your business future.

The Bridge to Business program can:
- Introduce you to the knowledge and technical skills necessary to understand the modern business world
- Inspire you to incorporate an international business focus into your study-abroad experience
- Pique your interest in various internships or study-abroad opportunities
- Whet your appetite for an M.B.A. program after your graduation from Agnes Scott
- Increase your awareness of business opportunities in Atlanta
- Provide you with a list of career options and avenues that you may not have previously considered!
Participants are housed in
Agnes Scott College accommodations at no charge, and are provided
transportation vouchers to Georgia Tech.

What are the requirements for applying to the program?
An interest in business and an openness to new possibilities!
Where do I live during the program?
You will live in Agnes Scott housing at no cost to you. After the program, you will move to your assigned campus accommodation for the academic year.
What will I do each day?
You’ll engage in a three-hour morning module, lunch on the premises, and a three-hour module in the afternoon. Your evenings will be free.
How will I get to Georgia Tech?
You will travel as a group by MARTA each day. Agnes Scott will provide MARTA vouchers. If you already have area accommodations, you do not have to live in Agnes Scott housing, but you will be responsible for your own transportation to Georgia Tech each day.
Who will be teaching the topics?
Two faculty members from Agnes Scott and fourteen from Georgia Tech.
Do I get academic credit for participating?
