Atlanta Semester Program
The role of women as leaders in all sectors of society is greater than ever before. The Atlanta Semester provides a critical and engaged examination of women, leadership and social change in the context of Atlanta, a city that has long been identified with progressive change. As the state capital of Georgia and home to many Fortune 1000 companies, Atlanta is the commercial, political and cultural center of the Southeast. Hubert Scholars Program
The Hubert Scholars Program for academic internships in public service combines experiential learning with service to humanity. Students selected for this program design an internship to participate in humanitarian service either at home or abroad. Past Hubert Scholars have conducted HIV/AIDS research in South Africa and traveled to Mongolia and Tanzania.
Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN)
Are good leaders born or made? Discover for yourself at Agnes Scott, which is a member of PLEN (Public Leadership Education Network), a consortium of women’s colleges that prepares women for public leadership roles. Washington Semester Program
Imagine discussing politics with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, ABC’s Cokie Roberts or Lt. General Claudia Kennedy. Other Opportunities
As a student of the natural sciences, fine arts, humanities or social sciences, you have the option of enrolling in a for-credit internship. In consultation with a faculty member and internship site supervisor, you'll design an internship that suits your academic interests. Many students choose to conduct this type of internship during the summer.
