ASC in Spain Program
Each summer, Agnes Scott offers an intensive, five-week language program at the University of Oviedo in northern Spain. The dates for 2011 are May 30-July 2.
Students will begin their experience with an orientation and four-day stay in Madrid before transferring to the city of Oviedo. Students will then live with local families and complete 80 hours of course work in Spanish language and if appropriate, history, literature and art.
Upon successful completion of the program:
- Participants will receive six academic credits in Spanish
- Intermediate course work will satisfy Agnes Scott's foreign language requirement
- Credits from more advanced coursework may be applied towards completion of minor in Spanish
