Post-Bacc Pre-Med Program
Preparing for Medical School and a Health-Care Career
The health-care profession continues to attract individuals outside the field’s traditional career paths. College graduates lacking the required science coursework and individuals seeking a career change find that they need additional studies to prepare for and apply to medical, dental and veterinary schools.
Our Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program offers the curriculum to meet these goals. This 12-month certificate program—the only one offered by a liberal arts college in Georgia—features comprehensive studies in pre-medical laboratory sciences available through our undergraduate departments. Students may also pursue a certificate of Advanced Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Science in a two-year curriculum. Both programs feature smaller classes, exceptional science and laboratory facilities and personalized attention from our professors.
Our Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program is open to highly motivated men and women with successful undergraduate academic careers in nonscience fields. The program is not open to students who have completed more than half of the medical school admissions requirements. Individuals seeking to raise their undergraduate science GPA and/or improve their MCAT scores may want to consider a program that focuses on academic record enhancement.
