Diedrick's most recent book is a collection of essays he co-edited on Stanley Kubrick, Depth of Field: Stanley Kubrick, Film and the Uses of History (University of Wisconsin Press, 2006). In an interview about Depth of Field, Diedrick discusses the range of topics addressed in the collection, including gender relations and class conflict to the fate of individual agency in a world of increasing social surveillance. He is also author of Understanding Martin Amis (University of South Carolina Press, 2004).
