Teaching and Scholarly Interests:

Sullivan's research focuses on three related areas: development kinetics of organic optical materials, optical diffraction tomography and 3-D optical wave guides.
 
Through a generous grant from the Clare Boothe Luce Program, Agnes Scott College named Amy Sullivan its first Luce professor in 2008. The Luce Professorship assists a female faculty member at the beginning of her career by providing a competitive starting salary and a discretionary fund for research.

Professional Activities:

 Listen to Professor Sullivan's Academic Colloquia & Monthly Exchange (ACME) lecture, "Beyond the Microscope: 3D Imaging without Lenses", on iTunes U.
 
"Two-Color Single-Photon Photoinitiation and Photoinhibition for Subdiffraction Photolithography" (abstract), co-authored by Professor Sullivan, appears in the May 15th edition of Science.
