Teaching and Scholarly Interests:
Professor Allende is a specialist in the politics of Chile as well as of Latin American in general. He teaches a broad range of courses on Latin American and Latino/a issues including democratization, women, religion, globalization, U.S.-Latin American relations, and warfare & human rights. He often does field research in Chile and leads Global Awareness and Global Connections student trips.
