GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing day and/evening operations of the college’s rental venues, sites and services; develops and implements marketing plan(s) that will ensure the increased revenue for the college; and ensures successful event executing, and coordination of event support campus services within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and college and departmental policies and procedures. Reports to the director of special events and conference and works with co-workers, students, alumnae, faculty, staff, outside vendors and the public.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Functions as sales representative and event hospitality/project manager to develop and execute annual marketing plan(s) that reflect the college’s image, values and style, in consultation with director, and designed to increase revenue from campus venue rentals and campus service sales.
2. Manages and serves as on-site representative for rentals: alumnae house public spaces, chapel, reception venues and other campus spaces and coordinates sales efforts with departments to maximize revenues and revenue opportunities.
3. Coordinates and gathers contract details to submit to director for confirmation of rental space; maintains working files with appropriate and detailed information on contracted rentals; maintains budget tracking and coordinates event calendar.
4. Manages rental(s) payments: collection to deposit; maintains detailed transactions records; and provides reports of event transactions upon completion of event and submits required monthly activity and revenue reports to director.
5. Leads event production and operation employees providing coaching, training and evaluation of temporary event staff composed of students, volunteers and/or temporary employees.
6. Assists director to identify campus resources that provide support for: event execution, outside sales, hospitality and customer service to ensure that all aspects of the clients’ experiences with Agnes Scott are positive.
7. Understands target audiences and identifies and builds relationships with relevant organizations whose missions align with that of the college in order to increase revenue.
8. Identifies and resolves potential event issues, as needed in consultation with director.
9. Assists the director in maintaining collegial relationships with campus offices and departments: specifically Office of Alumnae Relations and Office of Religious Life to ensure that rental space is used appropriately and coordinated with other scheduled Agnes Scott College uses and events.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS in business, hospitality marketing or related occupational field of study.
Experience: Minimum 7 years in similar position, preferably with a hospitality or resort company in corporate sales or business development: minimum 5 years of management/supervisory experience; proven experience in new accounts development/acquisition, account maintenance and maximization of existing accounts with significant experience in event/venues sales, hospitality, event and facilities management, and marketing and knowledge needed to expand revenue generation; and experience in high-end client relations/customer service.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including late hours and weekends.
Other: Travel required occasionally from office to areas within metro Atlanta.
