Trustees

	Gay O. Abbott Canton, Ga. Gay O. Abbott is a former banker with 28 years of experience at SunTrust Bank. Ms. Abbott earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Emory University.
	Stacey Y. Abrams Georgia House of Representatives Atlanta, Ga. Stacey Y. Abrams is the House Minority Leader for the Georgia General Assembly and State Representative for the 84th House District and a partner in several entrepreneurial ventures. She earned a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies from Spelman College. A graduate of the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin with an M.P.Aff. in public policy, she received her J.D. from Yale Law School.
	Mary Gay Bankston Studio City, Calif. Mary Gay Bankston is a management consultant and executive coach in Los Angeles. She began a consulting practice after twenty years of management experience in Fortune 200 service companies. A 1974 graduate of Agnes Scott College, she majored in economics.
	Pamela J. Bevier New York, N.Y. Pamela J. Bevier is a retired public health researcher who held positions with various agencies including the New York City Department of Health and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. A 1961 graduate of Agnes Scott College, she earned her M.A. at the University of California-Berkeley and her Ph.D. at Columbia University in French language and literature. Dr. Bevier received her M.P.H. from Columbia University School of Public Health.
	Claire Hodges Burdett Oakland, Calif. Claire Hodges Burdett is a business and management consultant in the San Francisco Bay area. Former president of Associates National Bank, she was one of the first female presidents of a consumer bank in the U.S. Ms. Burdett graduated from Agnes Scott College in 1972 and later earned her M.B.A. from Columbia University.
	Wesley A. French French Wolf & Farr Atlanta, Ga. Wesley A. French is a founding partner of French Wolf & Farr, investment advisers, where his responsibilities include the development and servicing of client relationships. Mr. French earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College.
	Ann Glendinning Acworth, Ga. Ann Glendinning retired from the Cobb County School District as assistant superintendent for special student services. She graduated in 1968 from Agnes Scott College, where she majored in psychology. She received her M.Ed., Ed.S. and Ph.D. from Georgia State University.
	Gail Savage Glover Glover & Associates, Inc. Atlanta, Ga. Gail Savage Glover is president and owner of Glover & Associates, Inc., a financial consulting firm to businesses on valuations, mergers and acquisitions. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Agnes Scott in 1966 and her Master of Science degree in mathematics from the University of North Carolina.
	Mary Lou C. Hawkes Jupiter, Fla., and Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass. Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes is a community volunteer and former math teacher. She received her B.A. in mathematics from Agnes Scott College in 1965. Ms. Hawkes is an active volunteer with the Peabody Essex Museum.
	Elizabeth Daniel Holder Atlanta, Ga. Elizabeth Daniel Holder is an active community volunteer in Atlanta. Ms. Holder received her B.A. in economics from Agnes Scott College in 1982. She has served as a member of the boards of the Atlanta Ballet, Camp Merrie-Woode Foundation, the Georgia Center for Children and the North Georgia Chapter of the March of Dimes.
	Sandra Thome Johnson Atlanta, Ga. Sandra Thome Johnson owns the interior design company Johnson Art and Antiques in Atlanta. She shows Tennessee Walking Horses and with her husband operates a Tennessee Walking Horse farm in Shelbyville, Tenn. A 1982 graduate of Agnes Scott College, she majored in art. She subsequently earned a degree in interior design from an extension of The University of Georgia.
	Elizabeth Rhett Jones Atlanta, Ga. Elizabeth Rhett Jones has served as an in-house pro bono attorney with Legal Services of Northwest Jersey and New Jersey Crime Victims Law Center, as an associate with Strasser law firm and as a teacher, tutor and reading specialist for learning-disabled children. A 1973 graduate of Agnes Scott College, she majored in sociology. She earned her M.A. in psychoeducational disabilities and reading from New York University and her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
	Melody C. Justice The Coca-Cola Company Atlanta, Ga. Melody C. Justice is executive vice president, Coca-Cola North America. She is a graduate of Emory University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and psychology. A chartered financial analyst, she has a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Miami.
	Phyllis E. Kozarsky Emory Univ. School of Medicine/Emory TravelWell Clinic Atlanta, Ga. Phyllis E. Kozarsky is professor of medicine and infectious diseases at Emory University School of Medicine. She also serves as the medical co-director of the International Traveler’s Health and Geographic Medicine Section, Emory's TravelWell Clinic. Dr. Kozarsky graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and received an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
	Dennis P. Lockhart Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Atlanta, Ga. Dennis P. Lockhart is president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He earned his B.A. in political science and economics from Stanford University and his M.A. in international economics and American foreign policy from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
	James E. Love III Printpack Inc. Atlanta, Ga. James E. Love III is vice president, international business, of Printpack Inc. He received his B.S. from Duke University and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
	Jeanne Kaufmann Manning Sea Island, Ga., and Santa Fe, N.M. Jeanne Kaufmann Manning is an active community volunteer and family philanthropist. She received her B.A. from Agnes Scott College in 1972 and her M.B.A. from Rutgers University. Ms. Manning is a founding board member of the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation and Golden Isles A.C.T., a charitable-giving circle.
	Portia O. Morrison, Vice Chairperson DLA Piper Chicago, Ill. Portia O. Morrison is senior counsel at DLA Piper, practicing commercial real estate development and finance law. A 1966 graduate of Agnes Scott College, she received an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her J.D. from the University of Chicago.
	Jessica H. Owens Versant Ventures San Francisco, Calif. Jessica H. Owens works as an entrepreneur in residence at Versant Ventures, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. A 1998 graduate of Agnes Scott College, Owens received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an M.S. from the Department of Cancer Biology at Stanford University.
	Susan M. Phillips Arlington, Va. Susan M. Phillips retired as dean and professor of finance at The George Washington University School of Business. A former Governor of the Federal Reserve System and chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, she received her B.A. in 1967 from Agnes Scott College and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.
	Jake B. Schrum Southwestern University Georgetown, Texas Jake B. Schrum, president of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, is widely recognized as an author and speaker in the field of educational advancement and moral leadership in higher education. President Schrum received his B.A. in psychology from Southwestern and his M.Div. from Yale Divinity School.
	Elizabeth McGregor Simmons Davidson College Presbyterian Church Davidson, N.C. Elizabeth McGregor Simmons is pastor of Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Previously serving churches in San Antonio, St. Louis and Jacksonville, she has been active in community organizations seeking to improve the lives of women. A sociology major, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Agnes Scott in 1974 and her M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary.
	Bolling P. Spalding Jackson Spalding Communications Atlanta, Ga. Bolling P. Spalding is a principal at Jackson Spalding Communications, an Atlanta-based public relations firm. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in business administration, both from The University of Georgia.
	Bernie Todd Smith Rochester, N.Y. Bernie Todd Smith is an educational ethics consultant and a former health information consultant. After attending Agnes Scott for three years, she received her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from North Carolina State University. She received her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.
	Bernard Taylor, Sr. Alston Bird LLP Atlanta, Ga. Bernard Taylor is a partner with Alston Bird and chair of the firm’s Products Liability Group, concentrating his practice on commercial litigation, products liability and toxic tort lawsuits. He received his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and his B.A. from Wayne State University.
	Clyde C. Tuggle, Chairperson The Coca-Cola Company Atlanta, Ga. Clyde C. Tuggle is senior vice president, chief public affairs and communications officer at The Coca-Cola Company. He earned his bachelor’s degree in German studies and economics from Hamilton College and his M.Div. from Yale University.
	Tawana Ware Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry Nashville, Tenn. Tawana Lee Ware, a pediatric dentist, is an assistant professor of pediatric dentistry at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. A 1996 graduate of Agnes Scott, she received her D.D.S. from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. She later earned a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and her M.S.D. from Indiana University.
	David D. Weitnauer R. Howard Dobbs Jr. Foundation Atlanta, Ga. David D. Weitnauer is president of The R. Howard Dobbs, Jr., Foundation. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), he has served as a pastoral counselor for the Georgia Association for Pastoral Care and on the pastoral staff of churches in Georgia and Alabama. A graduate of Davidson College, Dr. Weitnauer received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology in pastoral counseling from Columbia Theological Seminary.
